Guercino to Fano – between presence and absence

An evocative location, the Pinacoteca di San Domenico in Fano for the international exhibition “Guercino in Fano, between presence and absence”.
An exhibition of the works that artist Giovanni Francesco Barbieri, known as Guercino, made in Fano commissioned by the town’s aristocratic families.
Namely, the altarpieces “The Marriage of the Virgin”, “Guardian Angel” and “St. John the Baptist at the Well”.
The exhibition has been designed around the Paintings as the sole players, arranged in such a way as to ensure they are readily and conveniently enjoyed.
An essential project that has aimed at allowing art, colours and the refinement of the technique impressed on the canvasses to take centre stage.
